FESTIVAL DU CINEMA DE BRUXELLES
FICTION & DOCUMENTARY FEATURE FILMS
The Annual Programme Without Frontiers integrated by Cinema Festivals worldwide, promotes this Festival dedicated to Fiction and Documentary Films. It is aimed at valorising the Cinema Production, and at encouraging the creativity and the artistic outcome, regardless the material resources used in each film, generating a wide exchange of aesthetic and ideas between producers of distinct cultures.
Rules and Regulations

All fiction and documentary feature films or videos can register in the FESTIVAL DU CINEMA DE BRUXELLES.

The movies will have to appear in its original language. For those films in a language other than English, the Festival requires English subtitles.

No work or artist will be either discriminated or favoured by their country of origin, language, age, race, education, ideology, or by their economic resources. Every content, every form, every technique will be admitted with no censorship of any kind.

For equality of opportunities, whichever the original format (film, analogical video, digital video, animation), the movies will be processed alike: using software approved by the Annual Programme Without Frontiers and lodged in auxiliary servers for digital screening.

Producers will submit the Entry Form by Internet, and a DVD, CD-ROM, MiniDVCAM, MiniDV or VHS copy of the film to our technical provider lab address, for digitising, converting to official format, and uploading to Festival servers for evaluation.

As a first stage, all the films will be displayed by the Committee of Art of the Programme to consider its possible invitation to the Annual Gala Ceremony. The Committee of Art can also determine Special Mentions.

At last, the Jury of the Festival will award the following Categories: screenplay, direction, actor and actress performances, art, photography, edition, and integral realisation. In addition to the Prizes by Category, the Jury will grant the Special Prize to the Best Fiction Film and the Special Prize to the Best Documentary Film.

The Awards will be announced by Internet and distributed by International Press Media. The Prize, the Festival and the Programme must be mentioned in all public display and promotion material of the films awarded.

The Committee of Art reserves the right to select and to invite any of the films registered, to the Annual Gala Ceremony or other events and media.

In order to participate in the Festival, films bear an entry fee of USD 20. For early registrations, before March 31st, 2004, the fee will be USD 18.

Participation in the FESTIVAL DU CINEMA DE BRUXELLES implies the acceptance of these Rules and Regulations.
