Background
Established in 2003 Global Tax Reclaim expects to double in size every two years. Many people don’t bother to claim back tax which they incurred abroad. This is where Global Tax Reclaim comes in. They do all the necessary administration for a client to recover that tax.

“The nature of our business involves us balancing information flows between our clients, their suppliers, other agents, country and fiscal authorities throughout Europe. There is a multitude of documentation to be tracked and managed. Our business is based upon efficiently managing all these flows so we can maximise returns for our clients,” says Val Mills of Global Tax Reclaim.

The challenge
For the first year Global Tax Reclaim used two separate programs to run the business. But once they started growing Val realised they were being limited by their software. “Initially these were great packages which helped us define our requirements, but we soon encountered restrictions and had to look elsewhere,” says Val.

The solution
To keep the momentum Global Tax Reclaim knew they had to find a complete, scalable solution that could help them grow.

“My first impression was what are we getting for the cost? We had committed to other software previously which was cumbersome, and consumed a lot of our resources in implementation. With Mamut we were pleasantly surprised at the initial cost, but more surprised at how simple it was to use and how we increased our productivity from the start,” says Val.

The Results
With an expanding customer database Global Tax Reclaim were finding it difficult to keep up to date on their customers’ status. Making it difficult to provide the customer service they were aiming for. With a CRM system in place all staff had access to comprehensive customer information.

“With our business quickly expanding we were beginning to slip on our service but thankfully with Mamut we are now able to reach 100% service levels to our clients and it has transformed our approach,” says Val. Currently Global Tax Reclaim have four employees on Mamut and they are so excited with the results they intend to add a further three.
